Hyrox is a global fitness competition combining running (8 x 1 km) with 8 functional workout stations. It’s often described as the “world series of fitness” because it offers a standardized format, allowing participants to compare results across various cities and events worldwide.

Actualize Fitness is the official HYROX-affiliated gym offering structured, progressive training to get you race-ready.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HYROX IN SINGAPORE

  • HYROX is a global fitness race competition that combines running with functional workout stations. Each race consists of 8 x 1km runs alternating with 8 standardized workout stations (SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, Wall Balls). The format is identical worldwide, allowing athletes to benchmark their performance globally. HYROX is designed for all fitness levels, from first-time participants to elite competitors.

  • HYROX Singapore 2026 takes place from April 3-5, 2026 at Singapore National Stadium. The event features three full days of racing across multiple divisions including Singles (Open and Pro), Doubles, and Relay categories. Registration typically opens several months before the event.

  • HYROX offers multiple divisions: Singles Open (standard weights for men/women), Singles Pro (heavier weights for experienced athletes), Doubles (2 people run together, split stations), Doubles Pro (heavier weights for pairs), and Relay(4 people, each completes 2x1km + 2 stations). Age group categories exist within each division for fair competition.

  • HYROX Singapore race entry tickets start from approximately $150 for Corporate Relay and $191+ for individual categories (Singles, Doubles).

    Spectator tickets are available separately.

    For training at Actualize Fitness, HYROX training starts from $280 for 10 Class Pass or $270 for monthly unlimited sessions.

  • For HYROX Singapore 2026 (April 3-5), we recommend starting structured training 12-16 weeks before the race (late December 2025 / early January 2026) if you're a beginner with decent base fitness.

    If you're completely new to both running and functional training, starting 16-20 weeks out (November/December 2025) gives you time to build foundations safely.

    At Actualize, our programming ramps up intensity as Singapore race dates approach, with race simulations typically scheduled 2-4 weeks before competition.

  • Actualize Fitness is an official HYROX-affiliated gym in Singapore, offering race-specific training programs, full HYROX equipment (SkiErg, sleds, rowers, wall balls, sandbags), and spacious facilities for proper race simulations. Located at 251 Jalan Besar, we provide structured HYROX classes, race prep programming, and flexible training options including group classes and Open Gym access. As one of Singapore's largest standalone boutique gyms, we have the space needed for full sled lanes and race-distance simulations that cramped facilities cannot provide.

  • A typical HYROX class at Actualize combines race-specific functional exercises (sled push/pull, rowing, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, farmers carries, sandbag lunges), running intervals, and strength conditioning designed to prepare you for competition demands. Classes simulate actual HYROX race stations at proper distances and formats, building both the endurance and functional strength needed for the 8km + 8 stations challenge. Even if you're not racing, HYROX training provides an excellent balanced workout mixing endurance, power, and functional movements. Our coaches scale intensity based on your fitness level, making classes accessible whether you're training for your first race or aiming for a personal best.

  • Yes, you can absolutely train independently!
    We offer Open Gym access where you can use our HYROX-specific equipment (SkiErg, sleds, rowers, wall balls, sandbags, farmers carry handles) and spacious facility to train at your own pace and on your own schedule.

    This is ideal for experienced athletes following their own programming, members who want extra sessions beyond group classes, or those who prefer self-directed training.

    Open Gym is available through dedicated time slots that you can book based on availability.

    Alternatively, join our HYROX classes for structured HYROX training in small groups.

  • Yes! We conduct full HYROX race simulations multiple times leading up to Singapore race dates (typically held on Sundays). These simulations replicate the complete race format — all 8 x 1km runs plus all 8 functional stations in proper sequence — giving you invaluable race-day practice including pacing strategy, station transitions, nutrition timing, and mental preparation. Simulations are open to both Actualize members (bookable with class passes) and the public (available as paid drop-in sessions). This is one of the best ways to test your fitness, identify weaknesses, and build race-day confidence before competition.

  • Yes! HYROX is designed for all fitness levels. The Open category uses standard weights suitable for beginners, there's no time limit to complete the race, and you can walk portions if needed. At Actualize, many members start with our Turbo program (beginner-friendly functional fitness) to build foundational strength and endurance before transitioning to HYROX-specific training. Our coaches scale every workout to your current abilities, ensuring you're challenged appropriately without being overwhelmed.

  • You don't need to be race-ready before starting HYROX training. If you're new to fitness, we recommend beginning with our Turbo program (beginner-friendly functional fitness) to build foundational strength, endurance, and movement patterns before transitioning to HYROX-specific training. If you have base fitness from running, gym training, or other sports, you can jump directly into HYROX classes where coaches scale workouts to your current abilities. The beauty of training at Actualize is the progression pathway — start where you are, build systematically, and advance to race preparation when you're ready.

  • A good first-time HYROX finish is typically 1:30-2:00 hours, with most beginners completing the race between 1:45-2:00. Well-prepared first-timers often finish around 1:35-1:45. The average HYROX finish time globally is approximately 1:32. Remember, completing your first race safely is more important than chasing a specific time. Most athletes improve their finish time by 15-25 minutes between their first and second race through experience and targeted training.

  • HYROX is a standardized endurance race with the same 8 stations and 8km of running at every event globally, making it predictable and easy to train for. CrossFit is constantly varied functional fitness with different workouts daily, including Olympic lifts and gymnastics movements that HYROX doesn't require. HYROX is more endurance-focused (60-120 minute effort); CrossFit workouts are typically shorter and more varied. Many athletes do both — CrossFit builds well-rounded fitness that translates excellently to HYROX performance.

  • The 10-class pass is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase, giving you flexibility to train consistently while accommodating your schedule. This applies to all our programs including HYROX, CrossFit, Turbo, and other group classes. The 3-month validity ensures you can prepare properly for races or maintain regular training without feeling rushed.
